Our Story
Swags Galore was founded by Melinda & Eugene West of Shirley, New York in 1999. Melinda had the vision that the world would use the Internet for their shopping experience. Melinda's background was in Quality Assurance working for government contractors. In this field she became skilled with computer coding. With those skills Melinda developed Swags Galore’s first website. At that time no one was selling curtains of any type online. Melinda's vision was to offer custom discounted scarf panels that other manufacturers were selling for more than most customers could afford. Within a short period of time their home outgrew their needs to service the volume of business they were doing. They rented there first warehouse in Yaphank, New York in 2000. Within a short period of time they outgrew that warehouse for a larger one. In 2007 Melinda and Eugene moved their business to Lakeville Pennsylvania building a 9000 sq ft. warehouse/distribution center. Within two years they again outgrew their facility and added another 3000 foot extension. With another extension needed in the near future it's no wonder why Swags Galore have been so successful. Increasing the product line gives Swags Galore leverage to buy products cheaper and pass the savings to the customer.
